BBC: Log burner rule change in England could land users with £300 fines
It is unclear how they can/will measure the smoke emissions but it’s a reminder to only burn smokeless fuel in smoke controlled zones, unless your appliance is ‘DEFRA exempt’, and to make sure you burn wood at under 20% moisture – this will ensure you stay ‘on the right side of the law’!
